Also, the Was Life Created?<\/i> brochure and the Origin of Life<\/i> brochure are now in the Teaching Toolbox section in the JW Library app. So, it would be good to consider some of the expressions used in the Mandarin versions of these publications that can be so helpful when discussing whether life was created.<\/p>\n

How It Started?<\/h4>\n

\u201cIn the beginning, some random, undirected events took place that somehow led to life as we know it on earth today.\u201d That is basically the story that evolutionists tell about how life came to be. So, it\u2019s good for us Mandarin field language learners to know that in its Introduction, the Mandarin Was Life Created?<\/i> brochure uses this week\u2019s MEotW, \u201csu\u00edj\u012b<\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t(su\u00ed\u00b7j\u012b\n\t\t\t{coming along with} \u00b7 chance \u2192<\/span> [random[ly]; stochastic[ly]]<\/span>\n\t\t\t\u968f\u673a\n\t\t\t\u96a8\u6a5f<\/span>)<\/span>\u201d,<\/i> where the English version of this brochure uses the word \u201crandom\u201d.<\/p>\n

How It Breaks Down<\/h4>\n

How It Comes Together<\/h4>\n

When put together, the morphemes<\/a> in \u201csu\u00edj\u012b<\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t(su\u00ed\u00b7j\u012b\n\t\t\t{coming along with} \u00b7 chance \u2192<\/span> [random[ly]; stochastic[ly]]<\/span>\n\t\t\t\u968f\u673a\n\t\t\t\u96a8\u6a5f<\/span>)<\/span>\u201d<\/i> literally mean \u201ccoming along with chance\/opportunity\u201d, and effectively mean \u201crandom\u201d or \u201crandomly\u201d. Yes, while the Bible speaks of a loving Creator, evolution\u2019s adherents, in holding that life is the result of su\u00edj\u012b<\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t(su\u00ed\u00b7j\u012b\n\t\t\t{coming along with} \u00b7 chance\/opportunity \u2192<\/span> [random]<\/span>\n\t\t\t\u968f\u673a\n\t\t\t\u96a8\u6a5f<\/span>)<\/span> events, thus portray evolution as a mere opportunist<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Those who bet on evolution may say that it\u2019s not totally impossible<\/i> that life came to exist su\u00edj\u012b<\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t(su\u00ed\u00b7j\u012b\n\t\t\t{coming along with} \u00b7 chance\/opportunity \u2192<\/span> [randomly]<\/span>\n\t\t\t\u968f\u673a\n\t\t\t\u96a8\u6a5f<\/span>)<\/span>, by chance, but they may not realize\u2014or they may have no faith\u2014that their bet is not merely academic\u2014they are ultimately unnecessarily betting their very lives. As John 17:3<\/a> says, coming to know God and Jesus leads to everlasting life, whereas those who continue to deny their Creator will eventually just die. So, let us continue to do our best to learn how to use the Mandarin language to help Mandarin-speaking ones to understand that they should bet their lives on Jehovah God, our Creator, not on the empty falsehoods of evolution.<\/p>\n

How the Py<\/i>+ Material Is Going<\/h4>\n

A while ago, I got the feeling that I should shift focus to get to work on producing current-generation P\u012bny\u012bn<\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t(P\u012bn\u00b7y\u012bn\n\t\t\t{Piecing Together of} \u00b7 Sounds \u2192<\/span> [Pinyin]<\/span>\n\t\t\t\u62fc\u97f3)<\/span> Plus material for the Was Life Created?<\/i> brochure, which I had last produced older-style material for several years earlier. The official material for this brochure had also not been changed for several years, with the last Mandarin printing of it being dated 2016-12. However, not long after<\/em> I had started working on new P\u012bny\u012bn<\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t(P\u012bn\u00b7y\u012bn\n\t\t\t{Piecing Together of} \u00b7 Sounds \u2192<\/span> [Pinyin]<\/span>\n\t\t\t\u62fc\u97f3)<\/span> Plus material for this brochure, I noticed that a new printing, dated 2022-12, had been put out for the English version of the Was Life Created?<\/i> brochure, and then, a new printing, dated 2023-02, appeared in the JW Library app for the Mandarin version of this brochure. Also, the Was Life Created?<\/i> brochure and the Origin of Life<\/i> brochure were added to the Teaching Toolbox section in the JW Library app at around this time. It seems that Jehovah had decided that the time had come for renewed focus on these brochures, and it seems that the work of producing P\u012bny\u012bn<\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t(P\u012bn\u00b7y\u012bn\n\t\t\t{Piecing Together of} \u00b7 Sounds \u2192<\/span> [Pinyin]<\/span>\n\t\t\t\u62fc\u97f3)<\/span> Plus material for the Was Life Created?<\/i> brochure is privileged to be part of this renewed focus.<\/p>\n
